FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, May 18, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Mark Napier, a self-described 'real' Independent Candidate, is formally announcing his bid for Congressman Ted Deutch's seat in Florida District 22 for the U.S. House of Representatives. Napier who filed on 5 February 2022 with the Federal Election Commission is a former Central Intelligence Agency officer. Napier reports he was wrongfully terminated in 2009--stemming from a personal vendetta for being a Whistleblower in 2005--who reported the mishandling of an investigation by Iraq Station officials involving Child Pornography where he served for three months. Napier would eventually be left homeless on the streets for five years. According to Napier, it took "perseverance and fortitude to pull myself off the streets in 2015, and now I am running for office."
Napier was in the service of the Agency for a total of 20 years as a staff employee and as independent contractor for the last four years. After the initial three-month deployment to Iraq, Napier's follow-on assignment for 3 1/2 years was to Afghanistan. Napier held the prestigious position of Deputy Chief of [CIA] Base of Bagram Airbase for 17 months from 2005 to 2007, before being deployed an additional two plus years along the Afghan/Pak border conducting Counterterrorism Operations until early 2009.
Napier devoted 26 years to the U.S. Army National Guard, Reserves and Active Duty (mobilized)—though not fully credited, due to work conflicts with CIA and the loss of his personnel records by the Army--four times. Napier graduated from various programs such as Military Intelligence, Military Police, Military Support to Civil Authorities, a MS degree in International Management and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center to name but a few.
Napier has a long list of professional achievements and experiences including serving in various offices of the CIA: Security Protective Service, Office of Equal Employment Opportunity, Counterterrorism Center, Near East South Asian African Analysis, Non-Proliferation Center, and Office of Military Affairs. Napier also served a short stint in the National Counterterrorism Center just before his overseas deployment.
Napier has been registered as an Independent voter since the age of 18. "I look at the person, not the Party when voting. .....I know I would be a great advocate and voice for the LGBTQ+, Black, Asian, Hispanic, Jewish Buddhist and Islamic communities, in addition to the Dreamers of the middle and low income, impoverish, and homeless. Special emphasis needs placed, however, on the elderly, the disabled, the children [in foster care] and Veterans too."

Napier continues…"I have a lot of war stories, career and life changing events that led me down a path that was least expected, if not destiny." Napier remembers most from the war comforting of a 14-year-old boy at Bagram hospital in Afghanistan who had three limbs blown off from un-exploded ordinance, in addition to the solemn moments [23 times] joining 14,500 personnel at Bagram Airbase rendering "The Silent Salute" to fallen Heroes’ flag draped coffins gave him an appreciation for the things we take for granted in life. Napier experienced first-hand incoming mortars, rockets and even an IED attempt that was thwarted. Napier notes too, his many engagements with leadership from opposition forces in Afghanistan would be useful during future U.S. talks with Afghan elements.
Napier also has an impressive professional background from Counterterrorism Operations, Federal Law Enforcement Training, Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Warfare, Contingency Operations and Exercises, in addition to Export Controls for Non-Proliferation are just a few highlights of his training and experiences from the CIA and Army. Napier served as the Deputy Chief of [a CIA] Base at Bagram Airbase and conducted Counterterrorism Operations along the Afghan/Pak border that were the last highlights of Napier’s career. Most notable was his coordination with the U.S. Secret Service of former President George Bush’s surprise visit to Afghanistan for the troops.
Nonetheless, Napier reports he was successful in his career disrupting terrorist plots in both the U.S. and in Afghanistan that saved soldiers’ lives. In 2006, a plot was discovered that identified a terrorist cell attempting to use a pizza delivery service to carry out their proposed attack. FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, August 2, 2022 -- Florida District #23 Congressional Independent Candidate Mark Napier does not mince words when responding to adversarial NPA (Non-Party Affiliate) Candidate Christine Scott’s recent allegations. On two separate occasions Scott has publicly accused Napier of not being eligible to run for office.
Napier notes that Scott's ‘rubbish’ is not just inaccurate, deliberately misleading, and false; but not even substantiated. Napier is referring to Scott's own campaign website that primarily makes the unfounded allegation under her 'Blog' page titled: "15 Candidates in District 23’s Royal Rumble!"
Napier's response to Scott was simple and to the point: “All Bunkum and Balderdash!"....."I am not just qualified, but I have been confirmed to date (22 July 2022) five times from three different sources—Florida Division of Elections (three times), a nonpartisan Florida media element (Florida Politics) and even the Federal Elections Commission.”
Napier speculates that…”Scott's 'strategy' is to steer clear of competing with and being eliminated early on during the upcoming Primary Election on August 23rd, by running as an NPA 'Political Chameleon' masking her true QAnon loyalties to make it to the General Election in November."
Scott's other campaign website denotes: “Christine is registered as a No Party Affiliate. She answers to the People, not a party,” but then uses the famous QAnon phrase: “Where We Go One, We Go All!” Even Scott’s Ballotpedia.org questionnaire for 2020 and 2022 reflects how she looks up to former President Donald Trump. Numerous internet articles from 2020 and 2022 like "The QAnon supporters running for Congress in 2022 | Media Matters for America" lists Christine Scott as QAnon. Scott also has an account profile name of "MzzQ" on the social media networking service identified as GAB. GAB is identified as a microblogging and social network service known for its "far right" user-base of QAnon supporters.
Napier says he had originally sought to assist in Scott’s campaign as she was listed--at first glance--as a NPA that is commonly affiliated with being Independent. However, during Napier’s first meeting with Scott in October 2021, Napier quickly suspected something was 'off-kilter' with Scott’s way of thinking. Napier says…”That is when and why I decided to politely cut bait.”
“Since the age of 18, I [Napier] have always been registered as an Independent and assess the person, not their party." Following the ‘Great Recession of 2009,’ Napier was left chronically homeless for five years and became inactive as a voter.
